Glenbrier Golf Course

Glenbrier Golf Course is a Mid-Michigan beauty. Designed in 1972, Glenbrier is an 18-hole, par-72 layout that skillfully intertwines great golf into the natural beauty of the land. Just minutes east of Lansing, conveniently located off I-69, Glenbrier Golf Course makes it supremely easy to get in your round on its pristine, crisply manicured fairways and greens. In fact, this potent combination makes Glenbrier an optimal candidate for your new "home" course.

From the back tees, Glenbrier measures about 6,360 yards with a course rating of 70.0 and slope rating of 120. The course also offers two additional sets of tees to make the course more accessible to golfers of all skill levels — which is great, because water hazards are in play of half of the holes on Glenbrier. So you know what that means—shot placement and accuracy are the names of the game.

While the design is not overly difficult — there's plenty of room to move out here — avoiding the obstacles can be frustrating. You will get a healthy mixture of shots throughout the course, as no two holes are alike, and new challenges wait around every corner. While most holes feature wide-open fairways, like No. 1, take care on exceptions such as No. 3, which has tight landing zones heavily protected by bunkers. The hole to look forward to is without a doubt No. 15. Power hitters might be able to reach the green in one, but don't come up short on this short par-4, because this green is more or less an island with bunker protection. The choice is yours, risk it all or shoot it short and play it safe.
