Ridge Manor Oaks Golf and Country Club — better known locally as "The Ridge" — is a conveniently located staple of the Ridge Manor golf community for decades. With several enhancements over the years, the oldest course in Hernando County has maintained its ability to impress guests time and again.

Originally constructed in 1954 by course architect Hans Schmeisser, Ridge Manor Oaks Golf and Country Club was completely renovated and reopened 2009 based on plans from former PGA TOUR and Champions Tour Player Bob Carson and his son Teke Carson. Its current par-72 configuration plays to the tune of 6,712 yards with a course/slope rating of 71.9/128.

The two nines at The Ridge features distinct designs, offering the player two styles of play in one round. With tall trees and lush vegetation edging the fairways on the front nine, players need careful tee shots and perfected approaches. The back nine is a different story. Designed with a more links-style influence, players will find wider fairways and larger greens — balanced, of course, by vast sand bunkers the whole way home.
