Simplay Sports Den
SimPlay Sports Den brings golf, multi-sport simulation, and a casual sports-lounge atmosphere to Lakes Mall in Muskegon. Locally owned by two sports fans who turned their interest into a new business, SimPlay offers a relaxed place to practice, compete, or simply spend time with friends, family, and coworkers.
The venue features two simulator bays, both equipped for golf, with one also offering TruGolf MultiSport. Golfers can play virtual rounds on well-known courses, work on their games, or compete with friends in a climate-controlled setting regardless of the weather outside. The TruGolf system delivers the experience in 4K resolution, while E6 Connect provides virtual golf, scoring, and course options.
The MultiSport bay expands the experience beyond golf, giving groups another way to compete and have fun without requiring everyone to be an experienced golfer. The bays can be reserved for individual sessions, parties, group outings, and corporate events, making SimPlay as much a social destination as a place for dedicated practice.
SimPlay Sports Den is also part sporting-goods shop. The locally operated storefront carries apparel and merchandise for Detroit teams including the Lions, Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons, with a large selection of jerseys and the ability to help customers track down additional items when available.
For golfers interested in a little organized competition, SimPlay is also introducing a fall golf league. The league uses a two-person, nine-hole scramble format with rotating virtual courses that include Pebble Beach, Oakmont, and St. Andrews. E6 Connect handles scoring and standings, while flexible weekly scheduling allows teams to complete their rounds around their own availability. The season concludes with championship play, prizes, and a league gathering, keeping the emphasis on friendly competition rather than an overly serious tournament atmosphere.
