TriGolf

TriGolf in Raleigh centers its golf experience around The Oak, a nine-hole par-3 course designed by renowned architect Gil Hanse. Opened in 2025, the course gives players a chance to work on scoring clubs, distance control, and short-game strategy in a setting that is approachable for newer golfers while still offering meaningful practice for experienced players.

The Oak fits naturally with TriGolf’s broader mission as the home of First Tee — Triangle. The organization serves more than 2,000 young golfers each year, and the facility is built to make the game accessible to juniors, families, beginners, and longtime players alike. A par-3 layout is especially well suited to that goal, providing a manageable introduction to on-course golf without requiring the time or length of a traditional 18-hole round.

Beyond The Oak, TriGolf offers one of the more complete practice setups in the Raleigh area. Its 28-bay driving range is equipped with Toptracer technology, allowing golfers to track shots, measure distances, and add interactive games to a normal range session. Bays are available on a first-come, first-served basis, making the range useful for everything from a quick warmup to a focused practice session.

Two indoor/outdoor simulator bays add another training option. Each is equipped with TrackMan radar technology to provide detailed information including ball speed, club speed, launch angle, spin rate, carry distance, and shot dispersion. Garage-style doors can also be opened so players can use the technology while hitting directly onto the outdoor range.

TriGolf’s short-game facilities are equally distinctive. The 32,000-square-foot Himalayas-style green includes the 18-hole Acorn Putting Course along with space for putting and chipping practice. The public putting course is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis, adding another approachable way for golfers and families to spend time at the facility.

With a Gil Hanse-designed par-3 course at its center, supported by Toptracer, TrackMan, and extensive putting and short-game areas, TriGolf offers several different ways to practice, learn, and play in one location.
