Pine View Golf Course
Located in Ypsilanti just a short drive from Ann Arbor, Pine View Golf Course offers two distinct golf experiences along with a full complement of practice facilities. Designed by Harley Hodges in 1989, the main 18-hole Championship Course is known for the way its character changes throughout the round, moving from more open terrain on the front nine into a tighter, tree-lined setting on the back.
The par-72 Championship Course measures 6,490 yards from the Blue tees, with additional options at 6,220, 5,784, 5,042, and 4,101 yards. The opening nine, known as “Open Pines,” features broader fairways and challenging greens that give players some room off the tee while still placing a premium on approach play. Water is used sparingly, allowing the course’s terrain, green complexes, and strategic positioning to provide much of the challenge.
The character changes noticeably on the back nine, known as “Rolling Pines.” Mature white pines frame many of the holes, tightening sightlines and putting greater emphasis on accuracy. The scorecard also provides plenty of variety, including four par 5s and four par 3s across the round. The back nine closes with a 504-yard par 5 from the Blue tees, giving golfers one final opportunity to finish the round aggressively.
For a shorter round, Pine View also offers The Little Pine Nine, a nine-hole executive course that plays to a par of 30. The course includes dedicated junior tees and provides an approachable setting for younger players and beginners while still offering enough challenge for experienced golfers looking to work on their short game. Traditional golf and foot golf are both part of the Little Pine Nine experience.
Practice facilities include a natural grass driving range, two putting greens, and a practice bunker. PGA professionals are available for private and group instruction, while the fully stocked pro shop carries golf equipment, apparel, and accessories along with services such as cart rentals and club storage.
After golf, the restaurant provides a comfortable place to relax with a meal or drink while taking in views of the property. Combined with the Championship Course, Little Pine Nine, and extensive practice areas, Pine View provides several ways to play, practice, and spend time at the course in one visit.
