Tamarack Golf Club sets the bar high for public golf courses in Chicago's western suburbs. Players beware of the #1 handicap hole, No. 5. This long par-5 features a tee shot over water that continues along the right side of the fairway leading almost all the way to the green. The green, too, is protected by bunkers in the front and back, making this the hardest hole on the course to eek out par.
