You may not have played it, but you know you’ve heard of it. Today’s course spotlight takes us to St. Clair, Michigan, the home of Rattle Run Golf Course. Golf Digest has ranked Rattle Run as one of the top 75 courses in the United States, and number one in Michigan. It even carries international renown with its inclusion in author Robert McCord's "The 479 Best Public Golf Courses in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Mexico" — and it’s no secret why.

Designed in 1977 by Lou Powers, this par-72 gut-check boasts 49 greenside bunkers, 29 fairway traps, ponds on the borders of six holes and water in one form or another coming into play on 15 of the 18 holes. Combine this with wildlife, tree-lined fairways and dramatic elevation changes and you'll discover that Rattle Run makes for a truly enjoyable golf experience.

Before your round, get a feel on Rattle Run’s 6,000 square-foot putting green, then head to 12,000 square-foot driving range and fine tune your ball striking before the round. When its your time to take the tee, choose from one of three sets, keeping in mind that the tips play to a very respectable 6,865 yards and a 73.6/140 course rating.

For your transportation around the course, choose the new electric Club Car with your lucky number on it, because it might come in handy on this tricky course. Be sure to check out the Pro Shop for any of your last-minute necessities and accessories. And don't forget to stop by the 4,000 square-foot elevated clubhouse for edibles and refreshments before and after your round.
