Join Thunder Bay Resort for their 50th Year Anniversary! The challenging 18-hole course is carved from mature forests with rolling terrain and numerous pond and marshes. The course is picturesque, challenging and well maintained. The four sets of tees play from 5004 to 6712 yards with slope ratings of 121 to 131. Home sites on the river and golf course feature Lifetime Family Golf Privileges.
Thunder Bay Resort’s 400 beautifully wooded acres include a mile of frontage on the Thunder Bay River, 34 suites, villas and chalets, home sites, a 160-acre Elk Preserve, a small full service RV Park. Dining is available on-site at The Clubhouse Grill for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Thunder Bay Resort is a family operation with a helpful, friendly staff. You will feel like a member of the family.
Thunder Bay Resort is best known for its nationally recognized and award winning Elk Viewing, Carriage Ride, Gourmet Dinner and Wine Tasting. This 4-hour event is literally “Over the River and Through the Woods” behind teams of massive draft horses to view Elk. Then on the Elk Antler Log Cabin, decorated in trophy mounts and period antiques, where a fabulous dinner is prepared and served before you on antique wood cook stoves.
The Elk Viewing & Dinner Event makes a great optional addition to a couple’s golf outing on selected midweek and weekend dates, or as part of a great Gals Getaway Golf outing. Wineries, lighthouses, Austin Brothers Beer Co, galleries, an I-MAX style digital planetarium and a glass bottom shipwreck boat tour into Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary in nearby Alpena can round out a great trip to Thunder Bay Resort.
