The course, playing just over 6,200 yards from the back set of tees, offers up a myriad of natural challenges standing between you and a score you’ll want to brag about. Among these tests, the most potent and present is water. In play on almost two-thirds of the holes throughout the Myth’s layout, you’ll be forced to stare down between six and seven forced carries depending on where you tee off. Learn to brush the water aside and strike your ball confidently, and you’ll be in good shape. Let the drink get in your head, and you could be in for a very long, and wet, round of golf.

However, just because you make it over the water doesn’t mean it’s all smooth sailing. A green in regulation here doesn’t mean a guaranteed two-putt par – the greens are much too challenging for that. Be sure to take some extra time over each putt and adjust your stroke to the speed and undulation early in your round. Your score will thank you.
