Sunset Golf Club
Play one of Central Pennsylvania’s best rounds of golf with today’s feature: $20 for 18 Holes with Cart at Sunset Golf Club in Huntingdon near State College ($40 Value. Expires August 1, 2021!)
Designed by Architect Geoffrey St. John Cornish, ASGCA, and opened for play in 1973, today’s feature course, Sunset Golf Club offers all who come to play a well-rounded golfing experience like few other courses in the Commonwealth. Known for great conditions, beautiful hole layouts, and a variety of challenges, Sunset’s dogleg-heavy track is a great place to test your mettle and your shotmaking skills as you enjoy a great round of golf.
A par-70 course that plays just under 6,600 yards from the back set of tees, Sunset features a country-club setting without all the pretense. Each hole offers golfers a unique challenge with water in play on more than half, and sand bunkers throughout beautifully designed to capture errant shots and add to scores.
As you make your way toward the end of the course, you’ll be faced with what has become the signature challenge of Sunset’s testy layout: the par-4 16th hole. Playing 405 yards from the back tees and 324 from the forward tees, 16 features water on both sides of the fairway as well as in the fairway right after the peak of the dogleg. Approach shots must be hit into a small, rounded green that is no guaranteed two-putt. Make it through 16 without adding too much to your score and you’ll be in good shape as you finish up the back.
Along with the exceptional course, Sunset Golf Club also features a great selection of amenities to enjoy during your round. Inside the clubhouse, you’ll find a fully stocked pro shop with all of the essentials, as well as a bar and restaurant for post-round celebrations. Out on the grounds, you’ll find a full-service practice facility that sports a driving range and practice putting green to help you prepare for your round. No matter what you need or want – Sunset has you covered.
Today’s feature won’t last forever, so don’t wait and let the sun set on this awesome opportunity. Reserve your round at Huntington County’s original 18-hole course with today’s feature from GroupGolfer!
