Located conveniently in Peoria just six miles northwest of Galva, five miles southwest of Kewanee and only three miles north of Highway 34, Midland Golf Club strives to impress. The club features an 18-hole championship golf course that was built in the early 1920s, during the "Golden Age of golf design."

Its classic design is supplemented by a whole-hearted attempt to maintain playability for all guests, with four tee boxes available: Black (6,731 yards; 71.8/120), Blue (6,489 yards; 70.1/116), White (6,284 yards; 68.8/113) and Red (5,460 yards; 71.7/117).

Highlights of the course include No. 1, a par-4 which makes it clear from the start you better bring your "A" game. This hole features a tree-lined fairway leading to a difficult uphill second shot when the wind is coming out of the South. The green is well-guarded with bunkers on each side. Then there's the par-5 No. 7, the hardest and longest hole on the course. Only the most prodigious drivers of the ball will have a chance to get on in two, and even then, the "long second shot must carry over a group of trees to a small sloping back to front green heavily protected by bunkers."

The course ends on a high note, with a graceful par-4 of moderate length and difficulty, affording players the opportunity to go out with a bang.
