Though they were both designed by the skilled hand of architect Art Johnson, Devil’s Head’s two stunning courses, the Glacier Course and the Prairie Glen, offer two unique rounds poised to test every club in your bag. The Glacier Course, which plays the longer of the two courses at almost 6,800 yards, is carved from a glacier-formed Baraboo Bluff (hence the course’s name), which means your round will be chock-full of elevation, rock out-croppings, tight turns, and some of the most amazing views in the Dairy State. Expect exceptional conditions if you take on the Glacier, as everything from the tees, to the greens, to the ponds and woods are manicured for your enjoyment.

The second of Devil’s Head’s spectacular courses is known as Prairie Glen. A newer course that combines the challenges and island greens of Parkland-style golf with the traditional heathers of Scottish Links-style, this course will test not only every shot in your bag, but also your ability to execute when you need them. Though numerous elevation changes and areas of hazard are in play, it’s the 120-foot drop on a par-3 that might just be the most memorable for first-time visitors. Also, be sure to keep an eye out for natural wildlife during your round, as this scenic masterpiece plays home to many diverse species.
